FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can anyone sell stuff at the show?

Absolutely! The show welcomes sellers of all kinds, including stores, collectors, individuals looking to sell inherited collections, and even international shoppers. We strive to create an inclusive and diverse marketplace that caters to music fans from all walks of life. Whether you're a seasoned seller or a first-time participant, we encourage everyone with an interest in music to join us and share their unique offerings at the show.

What kind of items do well at the show?

At the show, a wide range of music-related items tend to do well. Whether it's vinyl records, CDs, cassettes, posters, memorabilia, or even musical instruments, there is a demand for various forms of music merchandise. However, one key factor for success is pricing your merchandise reasonably. Shoppers attending the show are eager to spend their money on music, and setting fair prices can attract more potential buyers and ensure a successful experience for both sellers and customers.

When do I have to be at the show? What are the busiest hours?

As a dealer, it is important to be present at the show during specific hours. Dealers must be present from Door Opening until Closing.

During the entire duration of the show, it's crucial to have someone manning your table, as early shoppers are admitted at the same time as dealers. This ensures that you don't miss any potential sales or interactions with customers.

Dealers are required to stay until Closing. It's worth noting that customers often look for last-minute deals starting from around 3:00 pm and continue browsing until the show ends. Therefore, remaining present until the end of the show allows you to cater to those late shoppers and maximize your selling opportunities.

By adhering to these designated hours, you can make the most of your experience as a dealer at the show and engage with customers throughout the event.

Can I share a table with someone else?

Certainly! Sharing a table with someone else is allowed at the show. If you and a friend are interested in splitting a table, you can purchase a table together. However, it's important to note that there must be a single person whose name the table is registered under, and that person will be responsible for making the payment and acting as the main point of contact.

In the event that you are unable to find someone to share a table with, you can inform us during the application process. Simply leave a note in the comment field of your application, and we will make an effort to pair you up with another dealer who is also interested in splitting a table. Our goal is to accommodate your needs and ensure a smooth experience for everyone involved.

Are there cash ATM machines in the building?

Yes, there is an ATM machine conveniently located in the lobby of the building. This ensures that attendees and dealers have easy access to cash if needed. Whether you're looking to make purchases from the dealers or need cash for other purposes during the event, the on-site ATM provides a convenient solution.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Where to stay

When it comes to accommodations for the Orlando Record Convention, there are several options to consider. The city of Orlando offers a range of hotels and lodging choices to suit different preferences and budgets.

If you prefer to stay close to the convention center and don't mind a higher price point, there are many nice hotels in the downtown area. These hotels offer a central location with easy access to the convention venue, as well as proximity to various attractions, restaurants, and nightlife. However, it's important to note that these downtown hotels tend to be on the pricier side due to their prime location.

For more affordable options, you may want to explore hotels located farther north or south along I-Drive. These hotels are usually more budget-friendly while still providing convenient access to the convention. Staying in these areas allows you to save on accommodation costs while still being within a reasonable distance from the event.

Another alternative to consider is booking through platforms like Airbnb or other vacation rental services. These platforms offer a wide range of choices, including apartments, condos, and houses, allowing you to find accommodations that meet your specific needs and budget.

Occasionally, the Orlando Record Convention organizers are able to secure a block of rooms at discounted rates for dealers. If such arrangements have been made, you will find the relevant information posted on the convention's official website or communicated to dealers directly.

Remember to plan and book your accommodations in advance to secure the best options and rates. Whether you prefer a hotel, Airbnb, or other rental options, there are plenty of choices available to make your stay in Orlando comfortable and convenient during the convention.
